The Maryland Judiciary is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Law Clerk. This is a full-time, at-will position with a competitive salary and benefits package. The Law Clerk will provide legal support to the Judge and conduct legal research, review motions, and draft memoranda. The position is open to both bar and non-bar members, with different salary ranges depending on bar membership status and level of court.

- Circuit Court and District Court Law Clerks: Non-Bar Member: $63,119, Bar Member in any State: $70,120

Education: Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited law school
Preferred: Prior legal writing experience
Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of laws, rules, and court procedures, proficiency in legal research, excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to compose orders and memoranda, and ability to apply policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and laws as required.
Essential Functions:
- Provide legal support to the Judge
- Conduct legal research
- Review motions and court files
- Draft memoranda and revise work product
- Respond to research questions and provide updated information to the Judge
- Deliver and triage chamber's work prior to sending to the Judge
- Attend court proceedings as requested
- Perform various duties based on the level of court (District, Circuit, Appellate, or Supreme Court of Maryland)
