Job Title: Winter Legal Internship - Legal Interns and Volunteers – Safety Net Project
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the Safety Net Project's Staff Attorneys in litigating matters in Housing Court.
- Engage in legal research and writing to support ongoing cases.
- Conduct client intakes and engage in outreach activities to connect with potential clients.
- Correspond with social service agencies to support clients' cases, ensuring effective communication and case management.
- Attend building-wide and client meetings as necessary to provide legal support and representation.
- Deliver files, checks, and documents to staff attorneys in court, ensuring that all necessary materials are available for legal proceedings.
