Job Summary:
- The primary responsibility of the Judicial Law Clerk is to research legal issues, write memoranda and draft opinions.
- Other duties include case management, providing counsel to the judge, and performing general chambers administrative duties.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Westlaw and Lexis is required, along with excellent research, writing and computer skills.
- The candidate must also possess exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Admittance to practice law in at least one state or scheduled to take the Bar Exam is required.
- Bar membership and at least one year of experience are required for a salary placement above a JSP 11.
- Prior bankruptcy practice experience or training is preferred.
- Experience on the editorial board of law review or moot court/and or publication of noteworthy articles is desired.
