Job Responsibilities:
The 2L Summer Law Clerk will join the Fargo office in the summer of 2026. Although there is no formal summer associate program in Fargo with an expectation of post-graduate employment, the law clerk will gain significant exposure to the attorneys and client work at the law firm. The role involves collaborating with attorneys on client matters and participating in legal research, drafting documents, and other related tasks. The law clerk will be an hourly employee, allowing them to engage in meaningful legal work while developing professional skills in a practical setting.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must be 2L students who will graduate from law school in 2027. The law firm seeks well-rounded individuals with strong intellectual, problem-solving, analytical, and writing skills. Candidates who have participated in leadership roles in their schools or communities are preferred. The firm values teamwork, an entrepreneurial spirit, initiative, client-orientation, and the ability to build and maintain relationships. Students who rank in the top 25% of their class are preferred, and those with ties to or an interest in North Dakota are considered a plus.
Salary Information:
Law clerks are hired as hourly employees with a pay rate of $25 per hour.
