With a monthly salary of approximately $7,000, our summer law clerks receive mentorship and guidance to support their personal and professional growth.

Application for the 2025 program opens in January and positions are filled on a rolling basis, so apply early. Only first-year law students will be considered and must have completed their first year of law school by the beginning of the program. We seek candidates with outstanding academic records, strong research and writing skills, and a commitment to public service.

Our Legal Function is headed by a general counsel and consists of two divisions. The Supervision, Markets & Financial Services division provides legal advice on financial institution supervision and regulation, open market operations, and more. The Enterprise Legal Services division handles litigation, investigations, employment and corporate matters, and technology and contracts.

A cover letter, resume, and law school transcripts are required for the application. If invited to interview, a writing sample will also be required.
