The organization of Congressman Thompson's Washington, D.C. office is currently seeking interns for a Fall Internship. This internship will provide valuable exposure and knowledge of the legislative process and the United States Congress. The office is looking for positive, motivated, organized, and reliable individuals to assist with legislative and administrative tasks.

The duties of the internship include greeting constituents, answering phones, leading tours of the Capitol, opening and sorting mail, attending briefings, and performing legislative research. Strong written and oral communication skills are required for this position. Successful interns will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail. Having district connections is preferable, but not required.

This is an unpaid internship, however, the valuable experience gained in the legislative process and Congress is priceless.
