Job Responsibilities:
- Support Staff Attorneys in litigating matters in Housing Court.
- Engage in legal research and writing to aid in client cases.
- Conduct client intakes and outreach to facilitate communication and support.
- Correspond with social service agencies to bolster client cases.
- Attend building-wide or client meetings to gather information and provide support.
- Deliver files, checks, and documents to staff attorneys in court, ensuring smooth case management.

Project Description:

The project employs a combination of legal services, policy advocacy, new media campaigns, and community organizing to promote economic justice.

The organization serves New York City’s most vulnerable residents through a blend of direct legal service, systemic advocacy, community education, and political organizing. The organization’s 12 projects offer various forms of assistance, ranging from one-on-one legal advice in soup kitchens to filing class action lawsuits for systemic change and advancing social justice legislation.
