Job Title: 2025 Summer Legal Internship Program
Experience: Law students only
Salary: Up to $6000 for 10 weeks (supplemental funding available for those who cannot secure funding or receive lower funding from their law schools)
Location: New York, NY (hybrid in-office/remote work policy)

- Founded in 1974, AALDEF is a national organization that uses the community lawyering model for social change.
- Program areas include anti-Asian violence, economic justice, educational equity, housing and environmental justice, immigrant justice, and voting rights/democracy.
- The summer internship program is ten weeks, from May 27 to August 1, 2025.
- Interns will work full-time with a hybrid in-office/remote work policy and receive training and education on legal skills in civil rights issues.
- Interns may work on litigation, legal and policy advocacy, legal services, legal research and writing, community outreach and education, and/or client intakes.
- A weekly brown bag series on public interest legal topics is also offered.
- Applicants are expected to seek funding from their law schools, but AALDEF will supplement funding up to $6000 for those who cannot secure funding or receive lower funding.
