#***# is a non-profit organization that provides free legal services to low-income and vulnerable individuals in Tennessee. Our mission is to defend and enforce the legal rights of those in need, in order to secure their basic necessities of life. With 8 offices serving 48 counties in Tennessee, we focus on 5 main areas of law practice: Family/Immigration, Health & Benefits, Consumer/Tax, Housing/Home Retention, and Employment.

Internship Opportunities:

#***# offers internships during the spring, summer, and fall terms to law students enrolled in accredited law schools. Our internships provide hands-on experience in our organization's daily operations, working alongside our attorneys and staff. We welcome fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and genuine enthusiasm for non-profit endeavors.

Summer Internships:

Our summer internships require a minimum time commitment of 20 hours per week for at least 10 weeks. These internships are paid and designed to attract a diverse pool of talented and motivated law students who are committed to our organization’s mission.

Fall and Spring Internships:

For fall and spring internships, students must be prepared to devote a minimum time commitment of 10 hours per week for at least 8 weeks. These internships are unpaid and can be pursued for experience and/or academic credit.

Qualifications:

To be eligible for an internship at #***#, you must be enrolled in an accredited law program. We also look for a strong dedication to public interest law, as evidenced by relevant experience and coursework. Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills are essential, as well as proficiency in using MS Office applications. While not mandatory, knowledge of foreign languages would be considered a beneficial asset.
