Job Title: Summer Legal Intern
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with legal research and writing.
- Observe legal proceedings.
- Attend meetings.
- Participate in various activities within the department.
- Interns will be assigned to a specific bureau within the office, such as Criminal, Civil, Environmental, Consumer, Public Safety and Infrastructure, or Charitable.
Education and Experience Information:
- The program is designed for students currently enrolled in law school.
- Students must submit a résumé, writing sample, list of references, and a cover letter stating areas of interest, bureau preference, and availability.
Salary Information:
- Positions are unpaid.
- Many students may be eligible to receive course credit or scholarships from their respective law school.
Additional Information:
- The program is a 10-week, full-time commitment running from May through August.
- Applicants will undergo a background investigation.
- Selection for interviews is done on a rolling basis until positions are filled.
