Job Responsibilities
The 2L Summer Clerk at the law firm will engage in substantive assignments that provide an in-depth view of labor and employment law. Responsibilities include participating in authentic associate experiences, selecting assignments from a diverse project database, and gaining real-world insight into legal practices. Clerks will enhance their understanding of the legal profession by observing court appearances, depositions, client meetings, and mediations. The program emphasizes training and mentorship, with each clerk paired with a mentor who provides guidance and support. Additionally, clerks will participate in social events to build connections within the firm.
Education and Experience Information
Applicants must be rising second-year law students. They are required to submit a cover letter, resume, law school, and undergraduate transcripts, and a writing sample that reflects their own substantive work. Students must be in the top 25%-30% of their class to be considered for the position.
Salary Information
The salary for the 2L Summer Clerk position is $3,077 per week.
