The Law Offices of the Public Defender, County of Riverside, is currently seeking law students to participate in our Summer Law Clerk Program. This program offers a unique opportunity for law students to gain practical experience in criminal law and public service while working with our team of experienced attorneys.
Program Dates and Deadlines:

Volunteer Experience:
As a law clerk, you will work directly with our attorneys in court, representing indigent clients in misdemeanor and felony criminal cases. This includes assisting with research and writing projects, motion work, and trial preparation. You will also have the opportunity to work with specialized units within our office, such as Mental Health, Immigration, Domestic Violence, Juvenile, and Complex Litigation Units.
In addition to gaining practical experience, law clerks will also participate in training seminars on criminal law, ethics, and trial practice. This is a valuable opportunity to enhance your knowledge and skills in these areas.
