The #***# (OSC) is seeking law students for its Summer Law Clerk Program. This 10-week program offers a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in the public sector while also providing valuable networking opportunities. As a law clerk, you will be responsible for various duties, including legal research, reviewing investigative files, and participating in settlement negotiations. This program is ideal for those interested in administrative law or government oversight and accountability.

As an OSC Law Clerk, you will have the opportunity to work with various Program Offices, including the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) Unit. This unit is responsible for enforcing USERRA, which protects veterans and service members from employment discrimination and provides for their job reinstatement following military duty. You will have the chance to review USERRA complaints and make recommendations on individual cases, as well as assist with litigation and provide training to stakeholders.

The Summer Law Clerk Program offers a minimum of 35 hours per week and runs for 10 weeks. The program begins in May and ends in August, providing students with valuable professional and networking opportunities. Participants will also have the chance to attend Merit System Protection Board (MSPB) hearings and learn about the roles of attorneys in the public sector. Additionally, some volunteer internships may qualify for course credit or as part of a law school's work-study program.
