Job Title: Intern, Global Transaction Tax - Summer 2026
Job Responsibilities:
As an intern with the Global Transaction Tax (GTT) practice, the candidate will be involved in various responsibilities which include:
- Participating in direct complex tax research.
- Formulating tax planning strategies.
- Assisting in performing tax due diligence reviews.
- Researching various federal, international, state, and local income tax regulations.
- Assisting in preparing reports for clients.
- Gathering data from clients and analyzing tax-related financial information.
- Assisting in the development of economic models used for evaluating transactions for strategic planning and structuring purposes.
- Teaming with colleagues and participating in client meetings.
Successful candidates will also have the opportunity to expand tax research skills by engaging in extensive tax research involving complex technical tax issues across a broad spectrum of federal and state tax law, including Subchapter C, Subchapter K, consolidated returns, tax accounting methods, taxable and non-taxable transactions, and executive compensation. Additionally, candidates will contribute directly to client deliverables.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates currently pursuing a JD (2L), LL.M (Taxation), Master of Science in Taxation, or Master of Accounting with an emphasis in Tax are preferred. Additionally, candidates pursuing (or intending to pursue) CPA or membership to a State Bar are sought after.
Qualifications include:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information.
- Strong analytical skills.
- High proficiency in spreadsheets.
- Ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects and effectively manage deadlines.
- High motivation to learn and grow.
- Must be authorized to work in the US without the need for employment-based sponsorship now or in the future. The company will not sponsor applicants for US work visa status for this role.
Salary Information:
The compensation for this internship position is $40 per hour.
