The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is offering a unique opportunity for law students interested in antitrust enforcement through their legal internship program. This program provides students with hands-on experience working alongside attorneys, economists, and other investigative staff on important investigations and federal court litigations.

The FTC's Bureau of Competition is responsible for enforcing antitrust laws, which help promote a competitive marketplace and protect consumers from anti-competitive practices. As a legal intern in this division, you will have the chance to work on a variety of issues related to antitrust law and gain valuable insight into the inner workings of the agency.

Additionally, the Bureau of Competition offers a comprehensive training program and the chance to build professional relationships with experienced attorneys and economists. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in pursuing a career in antitrust law or government work.

The legal internship program is open to first and second-year law students, who are required to submit a resume, cover letter, and law school transcript to bcrecruit@ftc.gov. Please indicate your interest in the summer program and specify whether you are a 1L or 2L in the subject line.

Applications for summer 2025 will be accepted between December 09, 2024, and January 19, 2025.

While the internship is unpaid, students are eligible to receive a stipend or course credit for their work. It is important to note that interested students must meet their respective law school's requirements and guidelines for receiving credit.
