Intern, Summer Associate - Legal and Regulatory Affairs at NY Green Bank
Internship Overview:
- Paid internship for current students at an accredited college
- 10-week program starting on June 2, 2025
- Pay rate of $18 to $20 per hour
- Located in New York State or an adjacent state with both in-office and remote work options
Organization:
- NY Green Bank, a division of NYSERDA
- Globally recognized sustainable investment fund
- Mission to accelerate clean energy deployment in New York State in alignment with the Climate Act
- Collaborates with private sector to transform financing markets
- Develops transaction structures and methodologies to overcome investment barriers
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and support for sustainable investment activities
- Conduct legal research on issues related to New York State law, regulation, and policy
- Manage ad hoc and special projects under supervision
- Demonstrate respect, equity, and inclusivity in a diverse workforce and community
Qualifications:
- Current full-time student pursuing a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- Team player with interest in sustainability and sustainable investments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to prioritize and handle multiple projects
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Previous experience in project or structured finance and sustainable investing is a plus

- Previous experience in project or structured finance is a plus
- Previous experience in sustainable investing, clean energy technologies, or climate policy issues is a plus
