The United States House of Representatives is offering summer internships in both their Washington D.C. office and district offices in Worcester, Northampton, and Leominster. Key Responsibilities:
- Answering phones and responding to constituent letters
- Researching legislation and attending hearings and briefings
- Conducting tours of the Capitol Building for groups visiting from Massachusetts
- Assisting staff with resolving issues for constituents
Flexible Hours:
Internship hours are flexible to accommodate students' course schedules. In the D.C. office, interns typically work from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. when Congress is in session and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. when not in session. In district offices, hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Eligibility:
To be considered for an internship, applicants must be college students and submit their application by the appropriate deadline.
Academic Credit:
While internships are unpaid, academic credit is available for those who are eligible.
