The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is offering a unique opportunity for law students to gain hands-on experience in environmental law through its highly-competitive Summer Honors Program for Law Clerks. This 12-week program is open to students who have completed their second year at an American Bar Association-accredited law school.
About the Organization:
The EPA is the federal agency responsible for implementing the nation's environmental laws. As the chief legal advisor to the EPA, the Office of General Counsel (OGC) provides counsel to EPA policy makers on legal issues related to environmental laws and the day-to-day operations of a federal agency. OGC is committed to attracting a talented and diverse pool of applicants who are interested in a dynamic and challenging federal experience.
Job Description:
As a law clerk in the Summer Honors Program, you will have the opportunity to work in one of eight law offices within OGC. These offices cover a range of legal areas including pollution prevention, pesticides and toxic chemicals, and civil rights. You will work closely with experienced attorneys and be given the opportunity to participate in client meetings, attend field trips, and improve your professional skills.
