The Maryland Judiciary is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Law Clerk. This is a continuous job opening, with full-time, at-will positions available throughout the state as needed. The salary for this position varies depending on experience and level of court, with 1st year Appellate Law Clerks starting at $68,499 and Circuit Court and District Court Law Clerks starting at $63,119 for non-bar members and $70,120 for bar members in any state. This is an exempt, regular/temporary, full-time, at-will position with no required financial disclosure.
The Law Clerk will provide legal support to the Judge, conducting legal research, reviewing motions and court files, drafting memoranda, and revising work product. They will also respond to research questions on a case-by-case basis and provide up-to-date information to the Judge. The Law Clerk will attend court proceedings as requested and perform various duties based on the level of court, which may include District Court, Circuit Court, Appellate Court of Maryland, or Supreme Court of Maryland.
