Overview:
- The #***# (DoIT) is a cabinet-level agency responsible for developing and enforcing statewide IT and telecommunications policies.
- The Office of the Attorney General (OAG) in DoIT provides legal services as general counsel to the department.
- DoIT OAG advises on policy issues, IT and telecommunications procurements, and represents the state in litigation.
- The primary office is in Crownsville, Maryland, with attorneys splitting time between Crownsville and Baltimore.
Description:
- The OAG offers a volunteer Law Clerk program for law students to gain experience in various legal fields.
- Law clerks can perform legal research and writing, participate in interviews, and assist with litigation.
- The Maryland Attorney General's Office is the largest law firm in the state, handling a wide range of legal cases.
- The Law Clerk Program allows participants to make a difference in communities across Maryland.
Qualifications:
- Strong legal research and writing abilities
- Excellent communication and team skills
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Available to work 15-20 hours per week
- May be eligible for course credit
