I'm a podcast fan! Season 1 of Serial is great. I binged the whole thing. Season 2 has been pretty disappointing so far.perfunctory wrote:Anyone a fan of podcasts? Started Serial today.

Re: The Official February 2016 Waiter's Thread
Question..
So I got an email from my top choice yesterday who I have heard hardly anything from yet...it basically said we're reviewing applications and starting to send out offers...please keep in touch with me, I'm looking forward to helping you start your legal journey......
I think it's just a standard CRS email but I don't know...what does it mean lol "good try but I'll give you advice about other schools"?

Read the applicants thread for that school. The dean posted to clarify.AbbeyS wrote:Question..

Lol they sent me the same thing. I was happy that the dean clarified his remarks.splitterfromhell wrote:No other school sends such puzzling, ambiguous emails.AbbeyS wrote:You knew I was talking about Emory lolsplitterfromhell wrote:Read the applicants thread for that school. Re: The Official February 2016 Waiter's Thread
As of today I have pretty much gotten a decision from every school except those holding my application until February scores are out. It's been a pretty predictable cycle for me in terms of numbers. It's kind of a nice place to be for now, knowing that I can't expect to hear from anywhere for the next ten days or so, at the least...
ETA I applied early January after December scores came out.

Not sure what PT it was, but one passage detailed a psychological phenomenon in which participants in a study would rather take less money for themselves than have their partner in the study get a greater percentage of the money.RonnyDiniro wrote:What was your guys favorite RC passage you came across in your studies ?

I don't remember any particular favorite right now, but every so often when I'm reading a book or something I will be reminded of an RC passage that relates to it, and be happy that RC contributed in some way to my understanding of various topics

Holy shit. I still remember exactly where I was the 1st time I came across that passage. I actually thought my brain was going to explode after finishing it.Li'l Sebastian wrote:Riddled basins of attraction and fractal theory.RonnyDiniro wrote:What was your guys favorite RC passage you came across in your studies ?

I don't know if any of yall played World of Warcraft, but there was one RC passage about RPG's that referenced WoW without actually saying the name. I couldn't believe what I was reading. It was the one about video game market places and turning fake money into real money and how to go about taxing it

As much as I hate RC, I really did enjoy reading that passage.RonnyDiniro wrote:I don't know if any of yall played World of Warcraft, but there was one RC passage about RPG's that referenced WoW without actually saying the name. One of my favorites was the one about self printing books or something of that sort. A little hazy on the details but it was supposed to make buying books cheaper/more convenient? Actually, I have no idea what it was really about. Which, as a matter of fact, is how I feel after reading every RC passage and trying to answer the questions...no wonder I sucked at RC.
