I've wanted to attend HLS for so long that I can't imagine me turning them down if accepted. But all that aside I do think that I'd have to truly consider attending elsewhere if I got a full ride.
Why HLS and not YLS or SLS?
I'm not keen on the west coast and I've never truly thought I could get into Yale + I don't think they look favourably on retakes. Also I'm not from the US so one day when I want to go back to that small European country I grew up in I think that a degree from H would help me more than one from S. I could be absolutely wrong here and having to choose between the two would be a nice problem to have tbh.

Just chiming in to say I took the damn test 3 times. I don't think retaking had a whole lot to do with my cycle outcomes. Waitlisted at YLS, for what it's worth. Good luck to all of you :)

By the way has anyone else ever seen Soul Man? Because it is totally worth watching as a tour de force of cringeworthy material. It's like a parody of hamfisted, patronizing moral stories, except it's totally sincere and wrapped in a vaguely comic style. It's awesome.

Kinda hate the no traditional grades thing. One thing I loved about Uni was the competition. I liked utterly dominating my peers in class when it comes to taking exams and to just general cold calling. It makes me feel going knowing that I am better and smarter than the rest of my class.

Might just go CLS

That's gotta be a troll post. Nobody is THAT self-absorbed, right?
Nah I'm not trolling.

And it's not so much about being self-absorbed. It's about actually knowing that you are smart, while constantly reminding everyone of that fact.

And it works. Whatever I gotta do to get the upper hand.
Plus I really just dont like people.

Yes. I am the most self-absorbed person on the planet. Fuck other people. :)
