I had my JS1 today. It was very laid back and actually a bit fun. How many different interviewers do they have? Mine wasn't with JS or DE. Not quite sure how to take that.

I think on their Admissions blog, they had 3 other people interviewing besides JS, I think. And I don't think it means anything that you were interviewed by someone other than JS, from what I can tell from last year's thread.lionrampant wrote:I had my JS1 today. Good luck! Hope the Turkey Day surprise comes along your way

Is it possible to get a JS1 invite without the complete email, though it shows completed on the status checker page? So nerve-wracking when the email just doesn't come.

There is a discrepancy between the date of complete on the status checker and the notification-emails; I think it's because the complete emails are sent out in bunches at a time. The difference was around 2/3 days for me, and I think it was longer (over a week) for some others.bleachth wrote:Is it possible to get a JS1 invite without the complete email, though it shows completed on the status checker page? And don't worry just yet, there's 1000+ more JS1s to go out!

Yeah, don't worry! I received the complete email a week after seeing my app go complete on the status checker.musedreverie wrote:There is a discrepancy between the date of complete on the status checker and the notification-emails; I think it's because the complete emails are sent out in bunches at a time. Same here! And the interview was just 12 minutes long. Way less stressful than Chicago imoElizabethKB wrote:Had a JS1 today as well - same situation as you.

Do you guys think that they'll only do Monday's and Friday's? Is that how it worked last year?LawBron James wrote:I don't know about today, but I would guess that they'll give those 31 out before the weekend.curlietop86 wrote:do we think there'll be a wave of JS1's today? gosh i hope so!LawBron James wrote:HorseThief wrote:31 slots open for 12/2-12/3.
I hope I'm in this next wave. I've been complete for a month now and still haven't heard anything.
Congrats to those who got invites so far!

Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
Had my JS1! The interviewer (who wasn't JS nor DE) was very friendly, and the general interview itself was very relaxed, friendly and actually really fun. The questions were mainly from my PS and resume as everyone else said
Further, as everyone else said, the interviewer told me that I might not be hearing from HLS for quite a while. I think this is a disclaimer sort of thing that goes out to everyone they interview!
I really enjoyed the interview a lot, so much so that whatever the result, I now have a very fond impression of the school. (Doesn't necessarily mean I did well in the interview-with the benefit of hindsight, not so sure if I answered well, or even coherently to the questions.)
I hope the wave of JS1 goes out today/tomorrow! Good luck to everyone
Edit: the interview lasted nearly 18 minutes.

18 mins on PS and resume I'm sure you are a interesting person to them. BTW, how do they phrase questions to your resume? Do they ask you to clarify some issues or why you pick a job/activity?musedreverie wrote:Had my JS1! (Except the interviewer asked the question of 'why law now?' because I had some time gap between undergrad and my application to law school.)
