But can't you just meet with your schools writing center or set up a meeting with an English Prof.? Maybe since I'm at a small school it's different but I emailed an English Prof and set up a time to visit with him once school starts back up.

We aren't all UGs. Additionally, there is an admissions aspect you wouldn't get from an English prof, writing center, or even other 0Ls.

I don't have a relationship with my English professor. :(

I don't see how a writing center would be helpful for something such as personal statement. I guess I would prefer someone with more experience to critique my personal statement. I could be wrong…

True, but that's why I asked why. Just getting someone else's ideas of why consultation would be worth it.

I guess i'm also at an advantage, have parents that work in college administration. Have access to people that work in Admissions. Granted it's all UG but still I trust their opinions.

The button for Cornell's "Fall 2015 - Regular JD Application" is up on LSAC (though of course grayed out until August 15). Not really relevant to anything in a practical sense, but it makes applications seem so real and close

Just got an email from WUSTL saying that they'd put me up in a hotel AND give me a $200 travel stipend if I visit?? Sounds pretty awesome; I might do it.
