Ooh you're right. Loyola is sooo much better than McGeorge.

Hahaha, no that's not what I was aiming for. It's one of those things that isn't worth debating... For one person McGeorge might be better. For another Loyola might be better.

I just meant the general anti-Loyola sentiment.

I think we can all understand and feel the fear that comes with incurring such a large debt for a questionable at best future. However in undertaking this endeavor we should look not to attack others, be they other schools or future classmates in a way as to make them feel worse about themselves or their schools. We've all decided to go to different schools for different reasons regardless of there equal comparisons or unequal comparisons one way or another. In the end tier 2 schools and for that matter most tier 1 schools opportunities are granted through the scholastic achievement of their students and not the names on those students diplomas.

At this point especially in this thread there is probably a large bias towards Loyola being the better school. But I'm sure if we looked at McGeorge, Santa Clara, Pepperdine, USC/UCLA threads the same bias exists favoring their own schools. Debate all you want but in the end its all on YOU to get where your going. Your school's name won't help you as much as your perspective rank in that school.

So stop fighting and start cheering.....

Yea, I'm really excited like many of you to finally get to law school. I just took my last final and barring a complete fuck up by me, it's time to finally focus on Loyola now!

When is everyone else done? And anyone got some good reading suggestions? Plans for summer? I've read Law School Confidential and I'm going to read Getting to Maybe and Law 101 (which just basically gives a broad overview of each main topic of law). I'll probably read whatever else I can get my hands on. My summer is just going to be a lot of reading, drinking, and working out.

(Btw PBJ, I caught my first Lakers game when they came out to DC to play the Wizards in February, and damn they're freaking good.)

Just to clarify, are we supposed to send our second deposit to the admissions office OR are we supposed to wait for another letter from them. I remember someone posting that but I'd rather be safe and get a second post about it I suppose. Lol... Just being lazy but whatever the Lakers won.

Loyola has a very good reputation in the LA area with a huge amount of grads around the world. There is nothing wrong with Loyola.

Hey guys~
First time posting on TLS, but I've been long fan of TLS and appreciating all the inputs you guys have been giving to newbies like myself =)
Well to make a long story short, I'm in one of those full sticker T1 (I've narrowed it down to Minnesota) vs. LLS ($18K annual) debate.......
I've been living in So Cal all my life and would like to start a career here, although not set in stone..... and I know the prospects are good for LLS as long as you finish in top 10-15% of class (BIGLAW), but what about mid level? Realistically, what are the chances for a decent job after graduating around 50% from LLS?
Would it be significantly different from top 20ish school such as Minnesota and would that justify me pay full sticker + living expenses?
I have been going back and forth, back and forth and this is really driving me crazy like you wouldn't believe =(
