I even sent a pretty substantial LOCI, while it seems like at least a few people are being admitted as something of a surprise (after forgetting they were in the running or w/e)
I too wrote a substantial LOCI, explaining again my love of cornell and that I would accept if offered admission. Its amazing that people would even have to think about it. I'm ofcourse going to stay on the waitlist, but I'm seriously wondering if they ever plan on giving me a favorable outcome.
+1....I think I'm going to try to interview. That is the last chance I have besides begging and pleading.
+1 to all of this. But I asked for an interview, and they still haven't gotten back to me about it (after about a week). I'll hold out hope until I sign a lease in Boston, but after that I'm giving up the dream.

They got back to me the next day after I asked for one and told me to call to set it up. PM me if you want the # they told me to call.

I just called admissions the day I was put on the WL and had it all set up in about 20 seconds.

Waiting for my flight to Ithaca right now.

Just scheduled my interview

For those on the waitlist? That would be a rather fast turnaround for Cornell admissions...

It seems like there are still people on reserve, so I am guessing they will be taken care of first. As for us WL... who knows. We will see the greatest movement in early August, as the last date to get a deposit refunded is postmark of July 29. But as for any movement before then, it's anyone's guess.

Everyone who is interviewing, did you all request an interview? Did they request that you interview? And how are you preparing for it?

Very hard to do, but I officially declined my offer. Sticker was just too steep for me!

Good luck to those still waiting!

same here. i was accepted last week but won't be attending :( hope those still waiting get some good news soon.

a few things i can share/confirm: i was admitted from reserve, not waitlist; i was notified by e-mail; and as i've been told there is no scholarship/grant funding left (i believe this includes both need and merit-based aid).

also an e-mail i received stated that a deposit deadline had passed and applicants were asked to confirm enrollment by this past monday the 20th or forfeit their seat. and as someone mentioned earlier admits must withdraw by july 29th to receive a partial deposit refund.

hope that helps. feel free to pm if you have a question.

I don't think they requested that you request one, I just read it on their site before that anyone on the waitlist may request an interview. Maybe I shouldn't have shared that here, but whatever... I'm not a dick, I like you people :D

I'm just going to try and make sure I have well thought out and articulate answers to "Why law school" and "Why Cornell".

Thanks. I'll look into it when I get home. You guys should post about your interviews after you have them.

Just had my interview. The woman was pretty friendly, not sure whether she was just being polite or whether we actually hit it off. She informed me that the class size was currently full but that it was only June and things might change. I am choosing to keep the hope alive....

Their last deposit deadline has not passed, right?

And I'd be surprised if their class was not full based on slowly they gave out decisions. I'm sure they knew exactly how many seats were available.
