Does anyone know if Vanderbilt's wait list operates like Emory's where you only have 48 hrs to decide if you are offered a spot off.

I think most schools require you to make a decision quickly.

Has anyone heard anything? it seems like they are being slower than most other similarly ranked schools with WL offers this year. The deadline passed on April 30th so it seems like we should be seeing some type of movement.

The deadline was only yesterday, and when I had called about a question I had to call a couple of times because the lines were all busy. I definitely wouldn't start to lose hope, I'm sure they'll start making more offers once they see how the class is shaping up. Hopefully you guys all hear soon!

The postmark deadline was yesterday, 5/1. They asked that admitted students email them, but my guess is they won't know the initial incoming class seat deposit data until Monday at the earliest and thus can't make offers until then. I would not be surprised to go without having any movement until the following Monday. Don't give up hope!

still haven't received a decision (went complete 3/1). at this point, post deposit deadline, am I sitting on a de facto waitlist or am I just languishing at the bottom of the pile? speculate away!

I snail-mailed a LOCI about three weeks ago, and haven't heard anything since. Has anyone received any type of WL update?

Hey everyone. Visited Nashville last week to tour and talk with the admissions office about this waitlist. I want to go to Vandy more than anything and I hope that came across during my tour. Here is some info that was relayed to me during my visit:

They will not start reviewing candidates for acceptance off the waitlist until late May and could go all the way up to the first few days of class (which has happened almost every year).

I was also told that by the deposit deadline last year, they were completely full but were still able to offer a few dozen acceptance off the waitlist (possibly around 30?).

Hope this clears some things up for those expecting something in the next few days (most likely not going to happen).

Last year they sent out an update email on May 9th. Perhaps we'll hear something soon. But it looks like most people didn't get offers until late May or June.

I received email update this morning. Looks like exactly the same as one of the emails from last year. They said some offers have gone out, anyone hear from them yet?

i haven't seen anyone mention it on any of the vandy forums (which i have been stalking religiously and convincing myself that it's normal haha) but hopefully we'll all have a bit of good luck in the next few weeks...

I just read the email and want to know which lucky ones got offers... There are two people on LSN that state they were accepted off the WL.
