170/3.0, help me out
I am applying to a lot of schools (plenty of reaches), trying to stay east coast and I like DC a lot. Suggestions appreciated.

Thanks for your help, can anyone tell me what LSAT score I need to be considered at GW, Fordham, and others that were described as outs. Also, at schools like UCONN, do I wait to submit my application until I have a new score (in January), or submit sooner to beat the December rush? Also, what does PT mean?

Break 172 to get some chances at T14 (especially at Northwestern with work experience).
WUSTL, pretty good at 167/168, apply early for better chances
GW, at least 167, 169+ better; chances not great
W&L, at least 167, 169+ better, chances pretty good
Fordham, at least 167; poor chances
GMU, target at 164, add a few points for safety
American, maybe 162-165; go too high and get hit with yield protect

Because of your low GPA, a 173-174 is where you are going to need to be at to have a good shot at GW, Fordham, and others. Accompany that with an addendum and you'll be alright. Shoot into the 176+ class and your GPA won't be much of a factor at any school you are looking at plus many better ones. Good luck in December!

Thanks for the continued help all. I still am unsure of when I should apply to these schools, before I get my new December score or wait until after? My recs wont be ready until early-mid December anyway. Thoughts?

You have a decent change at Villanova with the stats you have now. It looks bad to have a GPA under 3, but I had a GPA just a little over 3 and a mid-160s lsat and got money from them.

Re: 2.94 GPA 170 LSAT
Be prepared to reapply next year. Some schools get noticeably stricter the later you apply.fwilliamgreen wrote:Suggestions always welcome
You'd have a decent but not certain shot at T14 next year, just watch the cycles this year of people with similar numbers. Would suggest applying from #8 to #19, money permitting. All T14s would be reaches, WUSTL basically autoadmit.
Also, if you want to work in Chicago, then Illinois should be on your list. I think most people would caution against making the tradeoff of Loyola Chicago over UIUC just for the sake of going to school in a city for 3 years. Might consider skipping Cardozo (too outmatched in NYC) and AU (you have GW and virtually in at GMU).
