Hi guys, like the title says, I'm a 2.99 GPA, 170 splitter. I'm from California, so I'll mainly be looking at California schools (Hastings, Davis, Pepperdine, USD, Santa Clara, etc). I'm taking one year off between college and law school, but not planning on taking any more time off.
My question is what out of state tier 1 schools should I be looking at. Also, what are my chances at t14 schools (mainly wondering about NU and Cornell). Are there any schools that I might have overlooked that I should take a look at. I'm willing to leave California if I get into a good school, if not I'd rather stay.
I'm a little bummed right now because my GPA was 3.03, but using the LSDAS calcuation, I'm at 2.99, under the 3.0 barrier.
Undergrad at UCLA if that makes a difference.
My softs:
Eagle Scout
National Merit Scholar
Interned a summer for business office at Veteran Affairs Hospital
Interned for legal department of a tech company 2 summers.
Currently interning for investment portfolio manager.
Non-URM.

Re: 2.99/170 Splitter, chances at t14, tier1?
it is too bad that LDSAS put you right below the 3.0 line. why are your grades so low (you're obviously capable of better if you can score a 170...)?
also, i don't know what you mean by national merit scholar (nm finalist? commended scholar?) but i really don't think law schools are going to care much about that at this point. it also almost emphasizes that you underachieved in college.
