About 6 months ago I was concerned if schools were to go test optional in 2025, but have put that behind. I took the lsat and scored a 176.
I do not feel it’s unreasonable to improve just 2 points to 178, considering I won’t attend law school until fall 2026.
I mentioned in past posts my gpa law schools use is low due to health problems in undergrad, which is only 2.7
2.7/176 makes someone a splitter I am aware, even more so if I climb to 178 which was my initial goal.
Since I’m going to move to California I want to attend law school there, so could a 178/2.7 :
1) have a roll of the dice at UCLA? We know some top 14 law schools are even splitter friendly but technically ucla is not a top 14.
2) what about university of Southern California 19-20?
3) wouldn’t California Irvine ranked 35 be fair game since their median gpa is 161 and 176-78 is 15 plus higher

Re: 2.7/178
The obvious answer here is to target WashU Law (not T14 but just outside), which will let you redact your UGPA. More here: https://7sage.com/discussion/#/discussi ... pplication.
