Hi guys,
I'm an international student planning to apply this cycle.
My dream is to go to Harvard Law School but I don't know if I'm a strong applicant, so that's why I'm here. A little about me :
- French bachelor in private civil law (so foreign transcripts - NO UGPA - top 20% of the class)
- I'm from a persecuted minority (But not URM)
- I speak 3 languages fluently
- I have 1.5 years of work experience - I had my own successful e-com company until I sold it
- 3 great LORS
My LSAT: High 150s the first time - High 160s the second time and I'm taking it another time in January.
I'm currently able to score in the middle 170s and I think I can improve until January. If my score is as high as this on this session, do you think that I have a chance for Harvard? (and the rest of the T6? T14?).
Btw, I'm explaining indirectly in my PS that I will not need a visa to work in the US since I want to work for an International organization.
Thank you so much in advance, it means a lot to me.

Your LSAT is gonna be the most important- I applied as a quasi international (my undergrad and grad degrees were foreign, but I am an American). You'll at least get an above average. I'm a minority as well but not an URM- you may get a minor boost, but it'll really depend on the school. Your softs are pretty standard for T14/T1 applicants unless you sold that company for millions. Your scores are good- but for H, you'll want to break into the 170s to better secure your chances. H also takes a decent amount of international students (idk if you went to science po but had a friend who did who had a great cycle- I'm less familiar with other french institutions). I'd apply widely to the T14. You don't need to put the visa thing in your PS; the schools themselves won't really care much. I would only go to a T14 school if you are planning to work for an international law group (or if you have employment secured, I guess it doesn't matter that much!). I think Gtown also takes a lot of international folks, and I think you've got a strong chance at getting in there. Apply broadly to the T14 (i'd just honestly apply to them all barring YS unless you just crush the LSAT), go to the one that gives you the best scholarship package if you get one. Best of luckFrenchMomo wrote: ↑Sun Nov 22, 2020 1:13 pmHi guys,

Thank you so much!
I have another question: There is someone who told me on another forum that even with a score in the mid-high 170s, T6 schools will reject me because I have a score in the high 150s on my file. Is it true? I find it very strand since they only take the highest score

Na, they'll only take your strongest score. Maybe Yale does that, I doubt it. If you breach the mid 170s, I think most of the T6 will be within your reach, obviously, HYS are always going to be tough. I tossed in a guess for you on mylsn (the GPA won't count and S and Y don't accept a lot of foreigners; but I've guesstimated a 3.5-3.8 and 170-173 LSAT score) https://mylsn.info/bl8qtk/FrenchMomo wrote: ↑Mon Nov 23, 2020 4:02 amThank you so much!

Here's the same target with your scores now https://mylsn.info/yfygdi/
Your GPA will be a blackbox (as you don't have one)- so any place you are above the median of the LSAT should be a positive for you (I guess it is for anyone, but it is the only thing you offer them).

Thank you so much!
Concerning my application do you think writing a diversity statement as an international student would be great?
