Hi I attend Ole miss and and applying next year for law school as I graduate class of 21 my gpa is a 3.32 and will probably stay that way and my LSAT is a 165 do I have any chance at a T30 school or T14? Also would like to know my chances of getting any money and my chances for say UF or BU! Thank you so much

First off, what are your career goals and where do you want to practice? Generally the T13 places nationally, the T20 is mostly regional with some national reach, and the T30 are the top of regional markets but won't get you very far if you want a different market. Only the T13 can give you better than 50% odds of landing high-paying Biglaw jobs, prestigious gov/PI, or resume-boosting fed clerkships at graduation. In the T20, your odds of getting one of those positions varies between 30 and 50%. In the T30, that figure is probably between 10-20%.

If your comfortable working as a local prosecutor/PD or at a small firm initially making ~$50k in your school's market, then T30 or other T1 regional schools can make sense so long as you have >75% scholarship. But especially in this economy, you should not count on being able to get a job that would allow you to pay off $70-200k in student loans from a T30.

With your current stats, you are locked out of the T14 (unless you are a URM). https://mylsn.info/qykl6d/ Your college degree doesn't matter (Ole Miss v. Vandy makes no appreciable difference for admissions purposes). Although if your GPA is low because you're a STEM major, that can give a very small admissions boost and will make finding a job easier if you qualify for the patent bar.

If nothing changes between now and graduation, you have a good shot at getting good money at Bama and UF (could be a full-ride if you qualify for in-state tuition) and other decent options w/$$$ throughout the south (Emory, W&L, WF).

The best thing you can do for yourself over the next year is boost your GPA and retake the LSAT. Take a lot of easy classes and get straight A's next semester. Take summer classes if you can so you can apply early in the cycle or just update your application when you get your Fall 2020 grades. If you can get your GPA up to a 3.5 and LSAT to a 169/170, then you could see $$ at the T13 and full or near-full rides in the T20-T30. https://mylsn.info/cz0kyr/. The 3.5 shouldn't really matter, because it will still likely be <25 at most places you're applying, but for some reason adcoms like to keep their <25s as close to the 25% as possible.

It's also possible that the number of law school applications will soar this year as it did during the last recession. In that case, you'll definitely need to retake to be competitive for top schools and scholarships.

Best of luck!
