Hi, with my stats below, do I have any shot at the top-14 schools? I tried to use some predictors but that doesn't take into account my undergrad major, which is a bit tougher than most majors.
GPA: 2.93
LSAT: 166
Undergraduate Major: Mechanical Engineering
Work Experience: 2-years (although it was primary entrepreneurial, starting my own business)
Any input is appreciated! Thanks!!

The reason sites like MyLSN don't take that into account is that it doesn't really matter. You have no real shot at the T13 with your current numbers. Because you have a sub-3.0 GPA, you're going to need to get that LSAT into 170+ territory to start making splitter-friendly T13 schools a real possibility.magnatious wrote:I tried to use some predictors but that doesn't take into account my undergrad major, which is a bit tougher than most majors.

Cav is correct. It's unfortunate, but law schools don't account for differences in difficulty/grading between majors (or between different schools, for that matter, which is very unfortunate for folks who graduate from colleges with harsh GPA curves/"grade deflation").cavalier1138 wrote:The reason sites like MyLSN don't take that into account is that it doesn't really matter. Your STEM background will be a nice "soft", but your admissions/merit scholarship odds will still generally track your LSAC GPA and LSAT score.
