Chance me?

Post by kennedyiu » Mon Nov 18, 2019 11:28 am

I did poorly on LSAT and got a 152 and have a 3.4 Indiana University GPA, but a 3.28 LSAC GPA. My top school is UMiami (FL) and my app was put on hold. I sent a LOCI, what are my chances of getting in?

Not great and if you do get in you'll be paying sticker, which Miami is definitely not worth doing. You need to retake

Thank you for your reply. Follow up question: why would Miami put me on hold rather than waitlist me if I probably won't get in? I'm graduating undergrad in 3 years, also have very solid softs on my resume but from what I have read softs don't matter as much as actual numbers do.

Maybe they just want to see if they can afford to admit you later in the cycle and get you to pay sticker. But that's still unlikely.

You should avoid going straight through anyway (especially given your even shorter-than-average time in undergrad).
