Post by letsgetlouislitt » Thu Jun 27, 2019 10:24 pm

Hi all! Long time lurker, especially this past month waiting for my LSAT score.

Now that I have received it, I would greatly appreciate your all's help in finding out where I stand before I apply this fall!

Likely in at Harvard on down. Your softs are nothing special, but your numbers make you competitive everywhere.

+1

I would still apply to Y/S. There is an element of randomness with those schools and you never know if they are going to find something about you attractive.

Also take a year or two off and work. Get some money, live some life, have some fun, and be more competitive for law schools.

Harvard seems to have a strong bias against people who don't have work experience, so you will likely get rejected if you apply there during senior year. However, if you get a job for a year or two, you should be good to go. If you are looking for something easy and cool, teach english in Spain for a year. That way, you can actually be fluent in Spanish, not "study abroad fluent" (or maybe we should call it "presidential candidate fluent"). You might get a Butler at Columbia too, and probably 120-150k at lower schools. Nice work on the LSAT.
