Post by thunder3029 » Sat Dec 30, 2017 5:07 pm

White male with these stats. Applying right out of a top 25 undergraduate school. I am considering applying to the following schools

Penn (ED2)
NYU
Michigan
Virginia
Duke
Northwestern
Berkeley
Cornell
Texas-Austin
Georgetown
UCLA
Vandy
WUSTL
USC
Emory
Boston University
ASU

1) Don't apply ED; it probably won't help you much at Penn anyway.

2) If you want top-13 schools, your chances will improve remarkably with a higher LSAT score. You need to overcome your mediocre GPA, and a below-median LSAT doesn't do it.

3) Your chances at the others are much better; you might even see a decent tuition discount at one or more of them. Whether attending any of them is actually a good idea depends on your goals; it's a little weird to see Emory, BU, and ASU on the same person's list.

If you are biglaw or bust, you should only attend a t-13 school. Give yourself more than a 50% chance of getting biglaw.
