Howdy y'all,
I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Government, minor in Economics and a 3.17 GPA (3.3 major GPA). I took the LSAT and received a 165. I am not a URM applicant (white male).
After undergrad, I spent a year with the AmeriCorps program City Year as a first-year Team Leader in a middle school in San Antonio. Following that, I spent two years with the Peace Corps in Ecuador (I am fluent in Spanish). I plan on applying binding ED to Texas, as it is by far my #1 choice.
What are my chances?

No doubt you face an uphill battle. That being said, I still think you have a decent chance. Your story is strong. Write some solid essays using it. Stress the importance of UT Law somewhere in your application. Apply on the first day that their application cycle opens. Maybe call that out in one of your essays too.

Everyone else can tell you why they think ED-ing is a bad move. Good luck.
