thinking about Brooklyn & Howard. Looking to be in NYC/DC. Any suggestions or thoughts on these 2 schools?

You should retake. Even if you don't improve you'll probably get better outcomes applying early with the same stats next cycle as it's pretty late in the cycle right now and you're on the borderline for both places. Keep in mind I'm someone who almost never advises skipping a year(I think the retake chorus is way to negative in general) but in your situation I think it's the right choice. If you do apply though I advise you to apply to Brooklyn's three year not two year program. Even 1-2 points and super early applications will be worth taking the year off for you, nm more.
