Re: 161 3.82
You can retake again, even if you have to wait two years. You cannot attend law school with this lsat score and your gpa. You wont get into any of the t14, and likely not a single top 20. You will get into the 25-40 range, with some money, but not much.
Honestly, I don't care why you can't retake. You need to retake. If you go to law school now, you are making the single worst decision of your life.
Your post history suggests you applied to the t14. Seems like a waste of money, you wont get in. You wont get GT ED either. You need to retake especially if you want a t14. Otherwise, no dice.

To echo a couple of earlier posters: you can always retake. If you maxed out your attempts then just wait a couple more years. The dividends it will pay you to get a higher LSAT score cannot be overstated.
Take a couple of years and work. It doesn't matter what you do--but you are actually in a really cool position where you can do whatever you want while law school is a couple of years away. I worked for a few years before law school and it has benefitted me tremendously, both personally and professionally.
You simply cannot waste that GPA. With a 170+ you could be looking at full rides at T14s and possibly a HYS acceptance. Consider that versus going to a school ranked around 30 or so. On the one hand you will have your pick of jobs and the name of your school that will follow you the rest of your career. On the other: overwhelming odds of landing at median and competing with other very smart students that were too nearsighted to not retake the LSAT for the possibility of working as an attorney for like 50k/year.
I know what I would do.

Just to provide slightly more nuance to the reasons you should retake: what are you hoping to do with a JD?

I have similar stats. Got into Vanderbilt, wash U ($90k)*, USC, and I'm still waiting on a few more. If you're fine with below t14 (I didn't apply to any except uva and Berkeley) then you should be in pretty good shape.

Edit: you could break t14 maybe with Gtown or getting off a waitlist tooray.bee wrote:I have similar stats. Got into Vanderbilt, wash U ($90k)*, USC, and I'm still waiting on a few more.
