also considering taking february test. underperformed my last LSAT due to lacquer and viruses and anxiety. if feb is significantly better i'll update schools and/or take another year off and apply early next cycle. thoughts?

I don't think t14 is realistic w/ your numbers. Especially UVA, Penn, and Duke.

do you think i would have a better chance if i retake february and tell them to hold my application until my score in march (if i can get, say, 170) even though it'll be really late in the cycle?

I actually applied w/ essentially your stats last year (160/3.9). My best offer was at WUSTL w 22k/yr, withdrew before I heard back from Vanderbilt so I could try again for this cycle. Def would suggest retaking from my experience.

my GPA is a 3.8, might fluctuate once it's entered into lsac
LSAT 160 (three tries, canceled first time, 159 second time, then 160, sigh)
non urm, one gap year, average softs

particularly wondering for penn, virginia, duke (though i know it'll be near impossible), but also vanderbilt, notre dame

i looked at lsn but i have seen very very few actual stats close to my numbers on this forum (the life of a reverse splitter) so just wondering your input

You have a shot at Notre Dame. My roommate is a 1L with me rn, she got a 159 and had a 3.9 and got into ND. (1L at a T20 here). If you want a T14, LSAT matters. I hate to say it, but I feel like it matters much more than your GPA. especially because GPAs can vary and be so inflated from school to school in undergrad. best of luck

That one I'm not entirely sure on. I didn't decide to retake until too late for February, so I didn't have much of a choice on that. I expect it to be harder to get a spot/$$ that late, but I don't see why you can't retake and if you're happy w your scores, go ahead and apply. If you don't feel good about the offers you get you can always just try again next cycle and gets apps in earlier, so why not?
