3.57/ 167 CS Double Major
As posted, I double majored in Computer Science and Political Science. My Political Science GPA is around a 3.75 but CS GPA significantly lowered my overall GPA. I have taken the LSAT 4 times now, and frustratingly enough my best score is a 167. I have consistently PT'd in the mid 170s with a couple 179/180s. I believe I suffer from severe test anxiety, when I look over my mistakes on my actual tests, I make extremely stupid mistakes (e.g. I get a Q4 wrong on the LR section). My previous LSAT scores were 162 161 and 164. Again, every time I study, I always PT in the 170s and this is with strict timing and full 5 sections.
But since I have taken the LSAT 4 times now I have to accept that my test anxiety is a factor against my score and am forcing myself to be content with the 167. What are my chances for the fringe t14 including UCLA? Is Berkeley completely out of the question?
Is it worth paying sticker for these schools?
Does my double major help at all?
Thanks in advance for all your advice.

I don't think Berk is out of the question,as they seem to weigh soft factors heavily; with that said, your LSAT is still above median there, so you're in a good spot.
You have a solid chance of admission throughout the lower t14, plus UCLA and USC. I think you should definitely apply this cycle, and if the results are not to your liking, then consider a fifth take/not go to law school.

Thanks man! If Berkeley is my dream school should I still try to ED to UCLA or Georgetown? Not sure how much ED boosts an application. Also, is 5th retake an option? Would that not kill my application?

Why would you ED to UCLA or Georgetown if Berkeley is your dream school? Don't ED. And a 5th try will not kill your application. Schools only care about your highest LSAT cause that is what they count for their numbers170orDie wrote:Thanks man! If Berkeley is my dream school should I still try to ED to UCLA or Georgetown? Yea I didnt realize that it's a general rule of thumb not to ED anywhere. It doesnt significantly boost admittance chances?trebekismyhero wrote:Why would you ED to UCLA or Georgetown if Berkeley is your dream school? Don't ED. And a 5th try will not kill your application. It can give you a boost, but then you're stuck going to that school and almost certainly paying sticker. Unless the scholarship is part of the ED like at NU.170orDie wrote:Yea I didnt realize that it's a general rule of thumb not to ED anywhere. You will probably get into UCLA regular decision anyways so don't ED.

Gotcha. Thanks for the advice. Where else do you think I have fairly good chances at? Do I have a shot at GT/Cornell?trebekismyhero wrote:It can give you a boost, but then you're stuck going to that school and almost certainly paying sticker. Have a decent chance at Cornell. Georgetown and NU are maybes, but worth the app.170orDie wrote:Gotcha. Thanks for the advice. Where else do you think I have fairly good chances at? What about schools that might also offer some $?trebekismyhero wrote:Have a decent chance at Cornell. Georgetown and NU are maybes, but worth the app.170orDie wrote:Gotcha. Thanks for the advice. If you did get into any t14 you would almost certainly be paying sticker. You probably would get some money from USC and schools around that range.
