3.66/177 LSAT. Which T-14 will give the most $?
Hey guys. I am happy to say that my year-long studying for the LSAT paid off. Unfortunately my GPA is a bit lower than I would have liked due to two classes I got an INC in 6 years ago and was unable to retake once I restarted my undergraduate career after time off. It really stinks how LSAC will penalize you for that!
Anyway, no use crying over spilled milk. Which of the T-14 schools would give me the most scholarship money? I am from NYC and would love to stay here, but the CoL is creeping up at an alarming rate. My goal is to end up in a big firm here.

Are you going to not apply to one of them if they don't get on a list ITT?

I personally am not a school snob. I'm not looking for name recognition--I'm looking for the best employment chances and the least debt possible. I'll apply to any school that fits those criteria!
Of course, any school is what you make of it...

If you want to stay in NYC and work biglaw here, apply and get some good money from NYU/Columbia and swallow the COL. Cornell will be some pretty good money with your stats as well.

I'm seeing on mylsn that Cornell could give a lot of scholarship money, but I've heard it's a mixed bag for NY biglaw. Thoughts?

By the numbers, it seems to be an excellent choice for NYC biglaw.ready4sweaterweather wrote:I'm seeing on mylsn that Cornell could give a lot of scholarship money, but I've heard it's a mixed bag for NY biglaw. Thoughts?
But you should simply apply to the entire t14 and negotiate your way to the best scholarship you can at every school. That's the only way to answer the question you posed.

This is where my question was going. And because of your response (OP) it makes me think the purpose of this post was to humblebrag. So congrats on scoring a 177...now go do what you were gonna do anyways by blanketing the T14Clemenceau wrote: But you should simply apply to the entire t14 and negotiate your way to the best scholarship you can at every school. Wait what? Where on Earth did you hear that Cornell is a "mixed bag for NY Biglaw"? Cornell Law has always been very well known for its ability to place well in NYC BigLaw. In fact, it's what it's most known for. For NYC BigLaw, Columbia/NYU/Cornell will be your best options, but Cornell is most generous with scholarships.ready4sweaterweather wrote:I'm seeing on mylsn that Cornell could give a lot of scholarship money, but I've heard it's a mixed bag for NY biglaw.
