3.88/173 HLS/SLS
I've looked through the forums and haven't found many to compare my stats with. While I would be honored to attend any of the T-14, my goal is to attend either Harvard or Stanford. Does anyone have insight into the likelihood of an admit to one or both of those? Thanks and good luck to everyone!
Also, worth noting I am a firefighter/EMT working about 24-36 hours a week while at undergrad, and have worked at a major investigative journalism outlet doing exoneration investigations. Just to throw some soft data for consideration.

Hey, thanks for the reply. What did your numbers and sorts look like? What acceptances did you get?

He got into/goes to Harvard. Don't worry.Whittie wrote:Hey, thanks for the reply. What did your numbers and sorts look like? What acceptances did you get?
Also, if he got WL'd at Stanford with higher numbers, you can bet that it wasn't the LSAT/GPA that made the difference.

People with your numbers usually get into Harvard. Know that Stanford and Yale both have smaller class sizes than Harvard and are more selective. Each year many people that get into Harvard are waitlisted or even rejected from Stanford. You have still have a decent chance at Stanford but an even better one at Harvard.

Thanks to everyone that has responded thus far. Could anyone speak to whether my work as a Firefighter/EMT will have a significant impact at either HLS or SLS?

It will have a marginal one at best. It's mainly just a numbers game.theconsigliere wrote:Doubt itWhittie wrote:Thanks to everyone that has responded thus far. Could anyone speak to whether my work as a Firefighter/EMT will have a significant impact at either HLS or SLS?

My military service didn't really give me any bump, for what it's worth.Whittie wrote:Thanks to everyone that has responded thus far. Could anyone speak to whether my work as a Firefighter/EMT will have a significant impact at either HLS or SLS?

I would be surprised if you didn't get into Harvard, and almost shocked if all three HYS shafted you.
Moreover, I wouldn't put Yale out of the running just yet. You have the numbers, and your softs might be able to carry the way.

I would also add that if you did something like TFA, Fulbright, Peace Corps etc. and went to law school in a couple of years, Yale would be all the more likely.TFALAWL wrote:I would be surprised if you didn't get into Harvard, and almost shocked if all three HYS shafted you.
