Re: 163/ 3.63 GPA
If you barely studied for the first 2 takes, yes, absolutely do the LSAT again. Take more than a month to prepare, though. I only took once (173), but I studied for 4-5 months to get there. If you actually put the effort in a prepping for it, there's no reason you shouldn't be able to improve 5+ points.

What do you mean by you think you're URM?dreamer_13 wrote:Hello everyone!
I have a 163 LSAT (2nd try, 162 on the 1st) and a 3.63 GPA – hope to raise that up to a 3.7.
What are my chances at Berkeley, Cornell and Georgetown? (I know I'm on the lower end of all of them) Do you have any suggestions on where I should apply (no geographic restrictions)?
I think I'm URM and I think my PSE will give me an edge.
Also should I re-take the LSAT for a third time? I really didn't have time to study the first two times (I took October and then December), however I may be able to study for a full month (no school or work) if I take it again.
Thanks for the advice!

Re: 16X/ 3.6X GPA
Thanks so much for the advice! I definitely won't have more than a month to prepare since I'd be taking the June LSAT and I'd finish exams on at the end of April. Do you personally think it'd be worth it if I only studied for a month. I'm kind of torn because I wouldn't have distractions so I'd be able to do more focused studying, but one month just might not be long enough,tsujimoto74 wrote:If you barely studied for the first 2 takes, yes, absolutely do the LSAT again. I mean I'm not AA, but I'm black, so I guess I count as URM?emkay625 wrote:

huh? by AA you mean "African-American"? If your black a.k.a. of sub-saharan african/carribean etc. descent, than you are AA for all intents and purposesdreamer_13 wrote:I mean I'm not AA, but I'm black, so I guess I count as URM?emkay625 wrote:

I had very similar numbers. non URM Hispanic. Got waitlisted at Georgetown and Michigan, rejected from the rest of the t-14. You have a decent shot at GULC, but if you can get your LSAT up the high 160's you can likely get into most t14s and get some good scholarship money while your at it.

I really like Georgetown, so thanks for the boost of confidence! I'll do some studying and see if I can get my score up!
