Hey guys,
I read the flowchart and my apologies if this is an inappropriate thread. I've checked MyLSN many times, I've talked to people with similar stats on other forums, and I have a decent idea of where my pure numbers will get me in, and I'm satisfied with that.
My question is about my softs and the time I'm spending in between my undergrad and application.
I'm planning to apply this Fall. Currently I don't have a job that sounds good on a resume. I've been traveling and now I'm working as a lifeguard at a gym. Throughout college I had a few internships and jobs in legal and government offices so I have some decent stuff on my resume, but now there is a growing gap. Currently I'm looking for a better job, but I was honestly intending to spend the summer traveling as well.
So how much of a detriment is it to not have a 'good sounding' position in between undergrad and law school? Is it a mark against me if I spend my time before law school traveling instead of something I can put on my resume?
Any insight and advice is appreciated. Thanks for reading.

Approximately zero. If anybody asks, you were getting your ducks in a row before law school. So how much of a detriment is it to not have a 'good sounding' position in between undergrad and law school?
Do you plan on traveling for 2 years straight? If not, I doubt it's an issue. People really don't care that you have a timeline that is tied together to the day. It's fine if your resume says Undergrad University, 2011-2015; Lifeguard, May 2015-September 2015, April 2016 - July 2016. A gap year is not that unique. Is it a mark against me if I spend my time before law school traveling instead of something I can put on my resume?

Won't hurt you, schools basically just care about numbers. Your numbers will get you what your numbers will get you.
