ED Advice: NU or GULC?
My stats: 3.2 LSAC GPA/175 LSAT
Which school would I be better off applying ED to? I've checked my numbers on My LSN and I've seen that there are students with my stats who have been admitted. I'm asking this question on TLS because both schools take post-grad WE into account and I've only done one year of WE. My softs are average, not too spectacular.

Northwestern without a question. If you don't care as much about scholarships, you could also shoot for Penn/UVA.

Northwestern's ED comes with a 150k scholarship. GULC ED, like ED at most other schools, will typically mean sticker price.
I wouldn't recommend anyone ED to a school other than Northwestern because you lose the ability to negotiate scholarships and sticker price is way too damn high. This rule goes out the window if you have funding from a source like the GI Bill.

Do you think that my one year of WE would hold me back in a major way? I know that most of NU Law students have at least two years of post-grad WE before attending and that makes me nervous.hunt godlink wrote:Northwestern without a question. I'm applying to UVA and Penn, regular decision. I'd like to get as much $$ as I can.

WE is not as relevant as you think.demiatkin91 wrote:Do you think that my one year of WE would hold me back in a major way? Wait, are you applying this cycle or next? I think NU's ED deadline was December 1 but I could be wrong.

You shouldn't have an issue getting into GULC regular decision, and that would leave you the ability to negotiate for scholarship money. Definitely apply as early in the cycle as possible. If you are dead set on applying ED somewhere though, definitely have to vote NU for the scholly that comes with it as has already been suggested several times.

NU no question.
Applying ED to Gtown very literally could be a life ruining decision.
