4.0/156 Hispanic
I've retaken test in December 2015. Still waiting (and hoping) for a higher score. Probably no higher than 163...
Should I spend money to apply to T14 schools? What is my likelihood of acceptance or even $$$?

Might be worth applying to some of the lower t14. Depends on what kind of hispanic you are as well.darthpar wrote:I've retaken test in December 2015. Still waiting (and hoping) for a higher score. Probably no higher than 163...

But with that 4.0 please don't go to law school until you get at least a 165 or better. Being a URM with a 4.0 you could literally go to any law school in the country. Sign up for the June LSAT and use the next 6 months to study. Doing anything less would be a terrible waste

Don't expect much URM boost. I don't think cuban american qualifies as URM at all, unfortunately.darthpar wrote:Cuban American.

Doubtful. Cuban-American isn't URM, partly because they're a small minority and partly because it took enough money to defect under Castro such that a disproportionate number of Cuban refugees were successful professionals.TheRealSantaClaus wrote:You can likely get admitted to a few T14s with a low 160s and that GPA, but If you can score a 165+ on the LSAT you're looking at fantastic scholarship opportunities within the T14. If you've got a retake left, sitting out and taking the June exam can pay off in a huge way

TheRealSantaClaus wrote:Regardless of URM status, a 4.0 reverse splitter can sneak into the T14 if they hit the low-mid 160s, though they would likely be paying sticker. Even if you can though, don't waste that great GPA OP. Retake.jrass wrote:Doubtful. Is that an encouragement to retake even if I get around 162/163?

With that GPA, you should probably retake anything that isn't 173 or thereabouts
