Should I take the LSAT again/what are my chances? 169 LSAT/3.81 GPA
My dream school is NYU, and their most recent class has a 169 LSAT and 3.8 GPA as the 50% percentile (both of which I have). I'm trying to decide if I should take the LSAT again, given that they take the average score and not the highest.

How long and how intensively did you study for the LSAT before you took it last time? Were you PTing consistently near or below 169, or did you get up into the 170s and then have a drop on test day?
If you can get your PTs up to the mid-170s consistently, it might be worth retaking to get more certainty and maybe $$$$.
Also, there was a debate on some subforum recently about whether NYU really considers your average more than your highest score. Average might be important to them, but the highest score is the one that gets reported to U.S. News rankings.
