3.1 GPA, LSAT 160
I have a 3.1 GPA at UNC-Chapel Hill with a 160 LSAT score. I am applying to UNC, Wake Forest, South Carolina, Iowa, and Georgia. Chances?

Before others get here, I am going to advise that a retake will be suggested. Also, why do you want these schools? What are your career goals? You should read the "PLEASE READ BEFORE ASKING YOUR CHANCES" thread located here: http://top-law-schools.com/forums/viewt ... 9&t=245107

Are you a URM? How are your softs (though this probably doesn't make much difference)?

Not a URM. Will being a UNC student already help my chances?

Lymenheimer is correct. But, since I was already checking and don't have anything better to do at work ...
Assuming you are not a URM, you are probably in good shape for UNC and South Carolina. The others are probably reaches. Your money situation will not be very good, though. Retake.
Also, as lymenheimer asked ... why these schools? They seem like a pretty random sampling.

Not likely for Georgia. In at South Carolina. Probably waitlisted at UNC.

Where do you want to work and what do you want to do with your JD?

Everyone that I know that got into UGA with a GPA below the 25th percentile scored above 162 on the LSAT. If you can, retake. If you can get 5-6 more points, you could probably get some decent scholarship money at any of those schools.tarheel123 wrote:I have a 3.1 GPA at UNC-Chapel Hill with a 160 LSAT score.
