MA male 160/2.86
Hello,
I am Mexican American male, low income, from South Central LA. 2 years of WE.
So I did horrible on the Oct. LSAT and now I have a 160 LSAT with a low GPA. I will retake in December to hopefully score higher.
If I applied with a 160 to CA law schools, what would be my results?
I am considering:
UCLA
USC
Hastings
Davis
Loyola
Pepperdine
U of San Diego
Southwestern
Any out of state schools I should consider?
I am URM. I honestly think I will be accepted by Loyola, Pepperdine, San Diego, and Southwestern but would they provide scholarship money?
At this point, my dreams schools are UCLA and USC. I would seriously consider Davis, Hastings, Loyola, Pepperdine.

Not a lot of money. I would for sure retake and wait. Especially if you think that was a fluke score

Hard to say, not a huge sample size with your stats, but you are probably good to go at Loyola, Pepperdine, San Diego, and Southwestern. The rest are either a big stretch or definitely not happening.
Of course, the real answer is to retake and then worry about where you can get it. Your options are not very good right now.

Yeah, I am going to retake. Hopefully i score at least a 165 to make up for my low GPA. If not, then I have to reconsider career choices lol
I have been PTing at 167-170 so hopefully I get good results next time.

Eh, I don't really want to go to Loyola but its ok I guess, I would measure the pros and cons if thats one of my options.cbbinnyc wrote:Hard to say, not a huge sample size with your stats, but you are probably good to go at Loyola, Pepperdine, San Diego, and Southwestern. Took PT 64 yesterday and scored 169.TheodoreKGB wrote:This definitely means you should retake. The difference in a 167 and 160 is HUGE, especially for someone with a "dismal" GPA.calmike wrote: I have been PTing at 167-170
I wonder what i need to work on to score this on the actual test date.
